Community Club

KCC stands for Kelso Community Club.  We are similar to the more familiar term PTA.  The KCC is a team of Kelso parents who organize events for families and the kiddos to fundraising throughout the year for Kelso Elementary.
What do we do all this fundraising for?  FUN! When we say fun, we mean we try to get everyone involved to have a good time, while coming together to raise money for things like field trips, computers, playground equipment, supplies, events, assemblies and so much more.  None of it would be possible without volunteers.  The board members are also parents just like you who are volunteering their time as well.  Our mission as a parent teacher club is to help support the school so that our children can be successful.  We do this by raising funds for the teachers to be able to purchase the supplies and extra educational materials they need to be equipped to better teach our children.  Most of what we buy is outside of a school’s normal budget.   In the past this has consisted of the KCC purchasing extra Ipads & Chrome books for each class, Smart boards, Specialty Reading programs, and so much more.
We hold a meeting every month and encourage every and any parent that wants to get involved to attend.  The door is open at anytime thru the school year.  Typical meetings are held on Tuesday at 3:45 in the library.   Come listen to the things teachers feel would be useful tools to help carry our children’s education the extra mile.  Bring your ideas and opinions!   Volunteer or just listen.  We offer child care in the gym during our meetings.
