My name is Breann Willis. This is my fourth year of teaching, and my first year of teaching 2nd grade at Sandy Grade. Previously, I taught 4th grade for two years at Alder Elementary in the Reynolds School District, and one year of 4th grade at Arlicaq Akiak School in the Yupiit School District (in Akiak, Alaska).
I am a Sandy, Oregon native and went through the Oregon Trail Schools (Go Pioneers!) -I am thrilled to be back home, and closer to my family again. I earned my Bachelors in Education at Mount Hood Community College, Eastern Oregon University, and my Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. I live with my amazing boyfriend, Matthew, and our three pets. We have a wiener dog named Jax, a large cat named Louie, and our recent addition a Lab mix named Remi.
In my free time I love to do arts and crafts projects, hike/backpack, fish, kayak and camp. I also love cooking Italian food and reading Harry Potter and “end of the world” type books. I can’t wait to dive into learning and look forward to working alongside students, parents and staff this year!
