Meet our Nurse Practitioner Kim Tinker and assistant Patti Rae
The Oregon Trail SBHC is staffed by a licensed nurse practitioner, trained in pediatric and adolescent health care. The nurse practitioner is dedicated to creating a safe and inviting environment for youth.
Who we serve
The Oregon Trail SBHC serves all students, grades K-12, who are enrolled in the Oregon Trail School Distreict. Students from throughout the district may access services in the SBHC.
No student is denied services
Insurance is billed whenever possible in order to sustain the SBHC. However, students receive care regardless of their ability to pay. Students and families are not charged for services.
Prevention focused services
Services at the Oregon Trail SBHC are targeted at preventing illnesses and promoting healthy behaviors and decisions:
- Diagnosing and treating injury and illness
- Comprehensive physical exams
- Sports physicals
- Screenings (blood pressure and vision)
- Laboratory tests
- Immunizations
- Mental or emotional health services
- Alcohol and drug assessments
- Referrals to specialty services as needed
