Local businesses help students raise funds for art supplies, end-of-year show
For more than 20 years, a sure sign of the Christmas season in Sandy has been the festively painted windows around town.
A short drive down Pioneer or Proctor Boulevard could signal the arrival of winter as reindeer romp across the front of the Sandy Fire Station and friendly snowmen wave at passersby from the entrances of Clackamas County Bank and the Sandy Public Library.
All of these lively characters are the creations of Sandy High School art teacher Dan Shanklin’s students.
