Boring PTC Snow Riders Club 2019 Season Snow Riders is an opportunity for all Boring Middle School students to experience snow sports. Students will have the opportunity to learn to ski or snowboard or to further develop their skills. The Snow Riders Club will visit Timberline Lodge five (5) times during the season. The Snow Riders Club is supported by the BMS parent teacher club and is advised by Chris Tolley. Additional parent chaperones will supervise each trip. If you are interested in being a chaperone you must have completed the 2018-2019 Oregon Trail School District Volunteer Application, which includes a current criminal background form. (Please complete online) We need at least 1 parent volunteer per school, per bus for each trip. The bus will leave Boring Middle School promptly at 2:45pm. We anticipate arriving @ Timberline approximately 4:00pm. The return bus will depart Timberline at 9:00pm and will arrive at Boring Middle School at approximately 10pm. All students need to be picked up at BMS, no other stops will be offered. SKI DATES Friday, January 18th, Friday, January 25th, Friday, February 1st, Friday, February 8th, and Friday, February 15th Snow Equipment Students will have two equipment options: Option 1: Students may rent equipment at Timberline. Option 2: Parents may drop off equipment before school on Fridays or after school on Fridays by 2:35pm. Please understand that Snow Riders Advisors will be able to accept equipment before or after school, however they will not be available to accept equipment during school hours. All clothing and gear must be stored in the designated room (portable classroom located behind gym) during the school day. Students will collect gear at the end of the day; they will be allowed 15-20 minutes to change in the school locker rooms/old gym and head to the bus. All bags are allowed on the bus & equipment will be stored in the compartments below the bus.
Participants are responsible for providing appropriate snow clothing, examples; waterproof jacket, pants, gloves. It’s recommended to bring extra clothes for students to change into before coming home.
Food and Beverages-Students are responsible for either bringing or buying their own food or drinks.
