Update on 2024 Oregon Teacher of the Year, Mandy Vance

The end of the 2023-24 school year is on the horizon, but for Cedar Ridge Middle School teacher Mandy Vance, the end of this year is different than any before.
As the 2024 Oregon Teacher of the Year, Mandy will be the Grand Marshal of the Rose Festival's Junior Parade, which takes place from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday June 5, while also being a part of the Festival's Grand Floral Parade, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8. KPTV produced a video on Mandy's participation, which can be viewed on their website. Both parades will also stream live on KPTV.
The Rose Festival will be part of a busy spring for Mandy, which also included a trip to Washington D.C. for a summit of the Teachers of the Year from every state. The Clackamas Education Service District put out a video recapping Mandy's year and a write up on her experiences.
